B(Sc)Honours in Architecture Programme Project. Live Project: Coffee Tots
date. Year 2014
Role. Lead Role | Collaborative Conceptual Design | Section Drawings
Description.
a captivating project that seamlessly merged the realms of architecture and interior design. This project unfurled as a mini competition and live project experience, engaging both architecture and interior design students.
The impetus for this initiative stemmed from the expansion needs of Coffee Tots, an organization dedicated to underprivileged children. Having outgrown its original location at City Arcade, Coffee Tots embarked on a relocation journey to a more spacious unit, strategically situated closer to the heart of the city.
The underlying objectives of this endeavor were to craft a secure, cost-effective, vibrant, and adaptable new abode for Coffee Tots. This transformed space was meticulously designed to encompass a dynamic "storytelling zone," a versatile meeting area for parents, and a captivating play area for the children. Through this project, I embraced the challenge of fusing functionality, creativity, and a budget-conscious approach to deliver a transformative environment that caters to the diverse needs of Coffee Tots.
